Lo206

Briggs & Stratton Lo206 is a four stroke racing engine used to compete in karting all over the U.S. The class relies on momentum and consistency in order to be fast. It’s the perfect class to start karting in because it provides a great baseline for developing race craft and an understanding of how to carry speed through corners.

Sally started her karting career in Lo206 when she was 15 years old. In the first year, it helped her understand basic throttling, corner speed, and braking zones. In the second year, she began to excel as a driver, breaking track records and winning at both of her home tracks.

Although she has dabbled with faster, more torquier engines, she enjoys the four stroke class the most. Racing bumper to bumper with her fellow competitors, she always gets out of the kart with new skills and a smile on her face.

Even though I could be driving a faster engine, I prefer the Lo206 because the racing is so much more fun. There’s always someone competitive to race and I never get out of my kart without a smile.
