GCKI Spring Race 2 Win

This weekend at Gulf Coast Kartway, Sally competed against 18 Lo206 drivers for the Spring championship title.

Sally qualified 2nd, putting her on the outside of the first row to start the heat. Then in the prefinal, Sally was hit mid corner by another driver, causing both to spin out in the first corner of the 14 lap race.

Although she was miles behind the leaders, she put her head down and gained a few positions, leaving her P8 for the main event.

Keeping her head up and her spirits high, Sally was able to get an amazing start in the final.

In the first corner, Sally went from 8th to 4th, dodging any carnage that may cause another incident.

Katy being her home track, Sally had fastest lap most of the race as she came from 4th to 1st.

One by one, she passed every driver in front of her, leaving her victorious in the second race of the championship.

I wasn’t even upset about starting the main in 8th. I knew if anything, it would be really fun to make some passes. Plus, it made my story of winning even better!
