GCKI Spring Race 4 Win
This Saturday and Sunday was Sally’s first back-to-back car/kart race weekend. Having had a successful miata race on Saturday in San Marcos, Sally and her dad drove straight to Houston on Sunday for her kart race at Gulf Coast Karters.
For Sally, jumping back into a kart after driving her miata took only a few laps to adjust. After the first practice session, she was back to her karting driving style. In fact, she qualified P1, five thousandths faster than P2.
Then in the prefinal, she ended up P2. However, she took the win in the main event, making this her 4th win in a row.
“The first few laps of the day honestly felt like I was in Mario Kart. But after the first practice session, it was back to normal. Overall, it was such a fun day! And even though I’ve driven this track hundreds of times, I still learn something new every race.”
