Speedsportz Race 3 Win

This weekend at Speedsportz, Sally pulled off another victory, bringing her winning streak to 3.

Sally qualified 3rd, drafting behind the #664 of Kelvin Xing. Then in the prefinal, she pushed the leaders in hopes of breaking away from the pack. Although the top 3 drove away from the front runners, Sally stayed behind in 3rd devising her plan for the final.

Ending the prefinal in 3rd, Sally started the final on the second row. On the start, she pushed the pole sitter past P2 and ended up creating a gap between them and the rest of the field.

For the entire race, she pushed Kelvin until the second to last lap, where she made her move to pass him for the win. By pushing him the entire race, the two checked out and gave themselves enough room to battle at the end without the rest of the pack catching up.

It was an intense battle as Sally and Kelvin crossed the checked flag side by side. Sally took the win by 0.027 of a second.

This race was a perfect example of work smarter not harder. Kelvin and I pushed until the end to get away from the pack, and then battled at two laps to go. It just happened to work in my favor, barely winning by 0.027 of a second. It was such a cool experience and I can’t wait for the next race!
